What size should my logo be?

The admin bar is 32 pixels tall, so logos work best at around 32px height. Wider logos are fine as they will scale proportionally. PNG with transparency works well for most designs.

Does this change the login page logo too?

No, this module only affects the admin bar logo. For login page branding, use the Login Page Customizer or Site Identity Login modules.

Can I remove the logo entirely instead of replacing it?

To remove admin bar items including the logo, use the Clean Admin Bar module which lets you selectively hide admin bar elements.
